The woman who I assumed was the owner began to pry off my powder acrylics with a Metro card she pulled out of her wallet. When I politely asked her to stop because it was hurting me and I knew that was really damaging to my nails, she began to clip them off with clippers off the nail plate. Acrylic powder should be soaked off with acetone and cotton balls. I asked if I could soak them, she said no. She ripped three of my nails in half straight up to the bed. The poor girl who took over tried to glue my broken nails but ended up gluing her fingers to my finger multiple times. She continued to buff my nail plate to the point where I was in so much pain where I had to ask her to stop. I asked her to cut my nails down as short as possible as they were beyond repair and I left. The woman who I assumed was the owner began to pry off my powder acrylics with a Metro card she pulled out of her wallet. The workers were all very kind but I think they had a new person do my nails it was very expensive about 80 for acrylic and they broke 3 days in. Broke another today and didn’t even do much but open a plastic bag! I’m very disappointed at the quality for the price. Never getting them done here again.

First off, the nail tech really did seem like a lovely girl. But my gel manicure was all wrong. They used an electric file to remove my nail polish instead of soaking and scraping, which is what I prefer. In my opinion, an electric nail file is too harsh for natural nails and weakens them. My manicure was thick, clumpy and sloppy. I did not have time for them to “fix” it on Tuesday, so the manager agreed to see me on Thursday. On Thursday the manager was reluctant at first to redo my manicure. She wanted to “fix” it. But she eventually complied and removed the polish before redoing the manicure. She pulled the color that I was wearing off the shelf, but I noticed that she never used it. Instead she reached for some polish that she had in a bin on a lower shelf and painted my nails with that. It had a different top from the polish I had originally chosen. When I asked if it was the same polish, she responded that it was the same color. Too me it seemed this “new” polish was “watered down”. The next day I noticed that the polish looked cracked on every finger. What a waste of $30( plus tip)! Again, they seemed like lovely people but based on the quality of the gel manicure, I wouldn’t spend another dime there.
